Hublot’s Duty Free Boutique Opens

Swiss luxury watchmaking house opens its new Duty Free Boutique at Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Qatar.

Hublot and its partner host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially launch the first boutique in travel retail for the brand in the region.

The Boutique is the perfect fusion of Hublot’s modern and pioneering aesthetic and Qatar Duty Free’s beautifully understated, elegant environment,” commented Ricardo Guadalupe, HUBLOT CEO.

His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive said, “The whole Qatar Duty Free team is very proud of the new Hublot Qatar Duty Free Boutique, not only because the brand chose Hamad International Airport (HIA) to implement its first boutique in travel retail in the region, but also because we were able to capture Hublot’s spirit while keeping QDF’s identity and create a beautiful space in the passengers’ seamless journey.”

As the clock struck 7:00 PM on November 22nd, Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot Regional Director Latin America & Caribbean, Middle East & Africa David Tedeschi, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, HIA Chief Operating Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer and QDF Vice President, Mr. Thabet Musleh cut the ribbon, marking the official opening of the Hublot boutique.

The lavish boutique offers travelers a wide selection of technically impressive and aesthetically striking watches, while the 58m2 environment blends styles in a modern and innovative spirit. Its contemporary furnishings and pop-art paintings reflect Hublot’s hallmark fusion of traditional and modern materials.

Passengers can discover and shop from among a wide range of the brand’s watches, including various famed Big Bang and Classic Fusion models as well as limited editions.
