With the excitement of Opening Day, Southwest Airlines announced its newest sponsorship as the Official Airline of the LA Dodgers. Dodgers fans will get a taste of the airline's bold new look on Opening Day with the new addition of an outfield wall sign prominently displayed in Dodger Stadium. Southwest will extend its brand presence and engage with ballpark fans further into the baseball season.
In addition to the carriers' sponsorship of the LA Dodgers, Southwest Airlines is the Official Airline of the Baltimore Orioles, Milwaukee Brewers, Texas Rangers, and recently welcomed the San Diego Padres to the lineup this season.
"We are committed to connecting people to what's important in their lives," said Andy Allmann, Director of Customer Engagement and Partnership Marketing at Southwest Airlines. "Passion is at the heart of every sports fan and we're dedicated to bringing Customers, the true fans, closer to what they love and to build unique opportunities and experiences with local sports teams."
Southwest Airlines has been a longtime believer in connecting fans to their passions and has ongoing commitments with local sports teams across the country, including basketball, football, baseball, and golf. The carrier has been the Official Airline of its hometown team the Texas Rangers and with the Baltimore Orioles for more than 20 years. Southwest became a sponsor of the Milwaukee Brewers in 2012. With the new multi-year partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Southwest is excited to bring Dodger fans across the country closer to the game.
