St. Kitts partners with TP Tour for Grand Final

St. Kitts Tourism Authority has launched its 2018 partnership with TP Tour, following the St Kitts Admiral’s Cup Pro-Am Qualifier this week.

The winners of the season finale, TP Tour player Tom Haywood and Ed Massan from Mannings Heath Golf Club, have won a place in the eighth annual St. Kitts & Nevis Admiral’s Cup Pro Am Golf Tournament which takes place 3 – 8 February 2018.

The qualifier, which took place on Monday 13 November at Bearwood Lakes in Berkshire, saw 32 teams compete.   The destination’s new partnership with the TP Tour will see the 2018 finale hosted in November in St. Kitts & Nevis.

Racquel Brown, CEO of St. Kitts Tourism Authority, said: “St. Kitts is fast becoming a must play Caribbean golf destination and we are pleased to be launching a new partnership with TP Tour. We look forward to hosting Tom and Ed in St. Kitts for the Admiral’s Cup tournament next year.”

Paul Gilbert, TP Tour Director, added: “This has been a great finale to our TP Tour 2017 season and a great start to working with St. Kitts Tourism Authority in 2018 to help promote the island’s golf offering.”

The St. Kitts & Nevis Admiral’s Cup is the destination’s premier event for visiting golfers.

Played annually, it is a five-day team tournament in which a PGA Club Professional and three amateurs pair up to compete against other teams from golf clubs across the U.S., Canada, UK and the Caribbean.

In 2018, a concurrent Four Ball Division will be introduced, based on teams of two amateurs competing against one another using a Best Ball format and the same course rotation as the Pro-Am Division.  The St. Kitts & Nevis Admirals Cup is the only golf event of its kind with tournament rounds contested simultaneously on two different Caribbean islands.

Early entry rates for the 2018 Admiral’s Cup have been extended to 31 December. Prices start from £1,610pp to stay at the Silver Reef hotel, £2010pp for the OTI Resort, £2,080 for the St. Kitts Marriott hotel, £3,520 for the Four Seasons and £5,310 for the newly-opened Park Hyatt hotel (price per person based on two people sharing for travel between 3 – 10 February).

Packages include a seven-night hotel stay with daily breakfast, one practice, three tournament rounds and three post-round lunches, a Super Bowl Party with open bar, additional dinner events and all airport, golf and receptions transfers. Entrants will also receive on-course refreshments and player gift bags with golf apparel and equipment from tournament sponsors.
