TUI travel agent dies after horrific attack

TUI attack SouthportA woman was attacked at work in TUI travel agency in Southport in Merseyside, England. Merseyside Police announced that officers were called to the town's branch of TUI on January 13 to reports a 28 year-old woman had been injured in the Chapel Street store.

She was rushed to Southport Hospital where she later died from her injuries.

According to the local media reports, the victim was attached with a knife and the incident is thought to be domestic related.

A murder investigation has been launched by police after the incident.

A spokeswoman for TUI said: "We regret to confirm that a female member of staff at our Southport TUI retail store tragically died in an incident. We send our deepest sympathies to the friends and family of the staff member involved. We're doing everything possible to assist the local police with their investigation and support our customers and staff at this difficult time."
