Tour to Japan’s Shikoku Region

ANA promotes Tourism in Japan’s Shikoku Region

Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) has recently expanded its multilingual tourism guide site Japan Travel Planner to include information on the Shikoku region as well as access to special deals when traveling by car.

In partnership with Nippon Rent-A-Car, the website offers rates for vehicle rentals that are available only to international visitors who entered Japan on an ANA flight. The website also provides details on how to purchase special expressway passes offered by NEXCO WEST. Designed to streamline the tourism experience and make it easier to navigate Japanese culture, language, and geography, the new Shikoku driving tourism page is an effective tool for those visiting Japan.

“ANA strives to provide the most convenient travel experience to its customers, and the latest additions to our renowned Japan Travel Planner will make traveling through Japan easier than ever,” said Seiichi Takahashi, Senior Vice President of ANA. “We remain dedicated to service, even after passengers arrive in Japan and this website, as well as our local partnerships, remove barriers for foreign travelers looking to authentically experience Japan. Making it easier for international travelers to reach scenic areas in rural Japan without having to navigate public transportation will open up new possibilities and result in richer travel experiences.”

The new portion of the site has three main components, a guide to Shikoku, the Nippon Rent-A-Car page and a NEXCO WEST expressway pass portal. The website offers three different routes across Shikoku, each with a proposed travel time of three days. Guide videos have been posted for each route to help simplify navigation and to highlight points of interest. The page explains how to use Japan’s coin-operated parking meters to further simplify traveling around Japan by car.

ANA passengers will be able to rent vehicles from Nippon Rent-A-Car at up to 30 percent off regular prices until March 31, 2020. Selected vehicles at the Takamatsu, Matsuyama, Kochi and Tokushima airports will be eligible for the discount offer.

In addition, the website introduces the “San’in-Setouchi-Shinkoku Expressway Pass” from NEXCO WEST that enables overseas visitors to use expressways according to their needs in San’in-Setouchi-Shikoku at a fixed price.
