Nevis Reduces Quarantine Period to 24 Hours

Effective from October 7, 2021, the Caribbean island of Nevis reduced its Vacation in Place quarantine for fully vaccinated international air travelers from four (4) days to 24 hours.

This change is a result of Nevis’ continued commitment to offer its visitors a seamless travel experience.

Within 24 hours upon arrival to Nevis, travelers staying at approved tourist lodging (condo, hotel, resort, villa) will be tested. Once travelers test negative in an RT PCR test, they may access all the on-island amenities that make Nevis an unforgettable vacation, including restaurants, bars, one-of-a-kind tours, and destination sights.

“From the onsight of COVID-19, we implemented various protocols to reduce the spread of the pandemic and enhance the safety of our locals and visitors. We are excited to see this reduction in quarantine time as the travel industry continues to gain momentum. Nevis has many opportunities for travelers to enjoy a laid-back, hassle-free vacation and experience the true essence of the Caribbean,” said Jadine Yarde, CEO of the Nevis Tourism Authority.

“We look forward to continuing to welcome international travelers and believe this quarantine reduction will provide them with an opportunity to further immerse themselves in the Nevisian vibe and culture.”

The island’s four travel-approved hotels are Four Seasons Resort, Golden Rock Inn, Montpelier Plantation & Beach, and Paradise Beach.

A negative COVID-19 RT-PCR pre-departure test is also required, taken no more than 72 hours ahead of travel to Nevis.

Airport health screening remains in place.
