Ryanair launched flights from Glasgow to Crete

On Wednesday, June 3, Ryanair launched its passenger services from Glasgow to Chania in Crete. The airline will operate a weekly service to Chania on Wednesdays offering customers in Glasgow even more choice for summer 2015.

To celebrate, Ryanair is releasing 100,000 seats across its European network at prices starting from £19.99 for travel in September and October. These low fare seats are available for booking until midnight on Monday (08 June).

Francois Bourienne, Commercial Director at Glasgow Airport, said: “Chania is a fantastic new addition to the wide range of European cities Ryanair serves from Glasgow, and we are excited to be bringing this brand new route to our customers. As Crete’s second largest city, Chania is one of the most beautiful and picturesque locations in Greece, famed for its Venetian castles and rich cultural heritage. This new destination ticks all the boxes for the perfect summer holiday destination, with warm seas, cloudless skies and miles of beaches – it is sure to go down a storm. We look forward to working closely with the Ryanair team to ensuring the success of this fantastic new route.”
