Sri Lanka Tourism Bureau Launches B2B Roadshow in India

The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) and Sri Lanka Convention Bureau are set to host a B2B Roadshow and Networking evening in Indore, Vadodara, and Surat on the 10th, 12th, and 14th of June 2024.

This event aims to promote Sri Lanka as a year-round destination for all types of tourists. The initiative focuses on attracting more visitors from Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat by showcasing the country’s diverse tourism offerings to key markets in India.

Leading the delegation is Mr. Harin Fernando, Honorable Minister for Tourism, Lands, Sports, and Youth Affairs, along with Mr. Krishantha Fernando, General Manager of the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau. Over 40 stakeholders from Sri Lanka’s tourism sector will join them, including Destination Management Companies, leading hotels and resorts, homestays, tour operators, and other service providers. These industry stakeholders will engage in B2B interactions with their peers in each city.

The B2B Roadshow will also highlight Sri Lanka’s vision, new tagline, and future tourism development plans. It will provide a platform for local delegates to interact with key influencers, corporates, MICE agents, trade associations, and other service providers. This networking opportunity aims to foster stronger connections and collaborations within the tourism industry.

Sri Lanka Tourism has set an ambitious target of attracting 2.5 million tourists in 2024. To achieve this goal, Sri Lanka launched the innovative “You’ll Come Back for More” 360-degree global marketing campaign. The country has made a significant impression by promoting its attractions at major international platforms like the Arabian Travel Mart in Dubai. Additionally, Sri Lanka hosted roadshows in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne in Australia, as well as in Turkey, emphasizing the importance of the global travel industry.

The upcoming B2B Roadshow in India is part of Sri Lanka’s ongoing efforts to expand its reach and enhance its appeal to Indian tourists. By highlighting its rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and diverse travel experiences, Sri Lanka aims to position itself as a top travel destination for Indian travelers.
