NoMad Los Angeles (Opened: January 2018)
Sydell Group’s NoMad Los Angeles opened in late January. Located in the historic Giannini Place building downtown, the hotel features several on-site dining options and a rooftop pool. Each of the 241 rooms at the hotel is equipped with large flat-screen TVs and free WiFi is offered throughout the property. All rooms feature original artwork from a Paris-based design studio and are dressed in custom-designed furnishings and luxury linens. Many include standalone pedestal bathtubs and separate rooms for wash closets. Rooms also include desks, a fully stocked minibar, toiletries, and bathrobes.
The property offers 10,000 square feet of event space, including a 5,178-square-foot rooftop that holds 450, a 2,375-square-foot mezzanine restaurant that seats 100 or holds 275 for receptions, and a suite that holds 30. There are also two private dining rooms, a coffee bar, and more.
Kimpton La Peer Hotel (Opened: January 2018)
Tucked into a sunny, tree-lined street in L.A.’s exclusive Design District, Kimpton La Peer Hotel opened in January at 627 La Peer Drive West Hollywood. Moca Pacific Design Center is a 9-minute walk away. The property offers a complimentary wine hour from 5:00-6:00 every afternoon.
Rooms at Kimpton La Peer Hotel include a flat-screen TV, an iPod docking station, and a minibar. The en-suite bathrooms provide free toiletries, a bathrobe, and a hairdryer. Evening turndown service is offered for all rooms.
Viale Dei Romani restaurant offers Italian hospitality with a focus on sustainable seafood. The property hosts a champagne & cocktail hour every evening and a complimentary coffee cart every morning. There is also a 24-hour fitness center on the property with a resident trainer.
There is also a 16-seat boardroom; a 3,900-square-foot rooftop terrace that holds 200; and the Drawing Room, a 1,000-square-foot space that seats 80 or holds 125 when combined with its outdoor terrace.
Hotel Figueroa (Opened: February 2018)
Hotel Figueroa is located across the street from the LA Live entertainment complex, which is home to Microsoft Theater & Staples Center. It is the only luxury, independently owned hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Featuring rich décor, each air-conditioned guest room at Hotel Figueroa Los Angeles provides free high-speed WiFi, William Roam bath amenities, a smart TV an iPad with guest request technology, and a complimentary mini-bar with water and snacks.
The hotel offers 2 restaurants & 4 bars on-site. Breva, set just off the hotel’s main lobby, is decorated in the hotel’s original Spanish architecture & design and serves Mediterranean cuisine. The Alta Room provides guests with creative cocktails as well.
westdrift Manhattan Beach (Opened: April 2018)
westdrift Manhattan Beach is a boutique hotel that delivers the sophistication of a true blue East Coast classic blended with the laid-back vibe of coastal California. Designed by San Francisco-based firm EDG Design, westdrift Manhattan Beach, Autograph Collection, merges the style of the Eastern Seaboard with the West Coast spirit of Endless Summer. westdrift Manhattan Beach offers nearly 400 guestrooms and suites, all with breathtaking views and 112 with private balconies.
Located four miles from the Los Angeles International Airport, the hotel is a 20-minute walk from the beach. westdrift Manhattan Beach offers elegant accommodations surrounded by a green Golf Club where guests can play. It features an outdoor pool and a well-equipped gym.

Lido House (Opened: May 2018)
Lido House, an Autograph Collection hotel is located in Newport Beach; a minute walk from the beach. The 130-room resort is steps away from Lido Marina Village, the city’s marina, retail and dining hub. It will offer multiple dining options, a rooftop bar, wellness treatments, and several meeting and event spaces.
Set on the site of the former City Hall, the Orange County Hotel seamlessly blends classic Cape Cod-style architecture with nautically-inspired details to create an icon of sophisticated coastal style. Five tri-level private cottages provide the ultimate respite for relaxation, imparting guests with the privacy of a home with the amenities of a luxury resort.
850 (Opened: September 2018)
LA’s legendary hotelier Jeff Klein opens 850, a new boutique hotel situated in the heart of West Hollywood. Fashioned after Klein’s passion for residential-style hotels, 850offers a home-from-home in the heart of the city by British designer Rita Konig with 23 beautifully appointed rooms, a communal living room, large rooftop terrace and a modern pantry where guests can enjoy meals by Chefs from across the city.
The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood (Opening: Late 2018, Spring 2019)
Located in the heart of Hollywood at 1400 N. Cahuenga Boulevard, The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood is slated for a seven-story building that will feature approximately 200 guest rooms with restaurant space and a rooftop pool deck. The high-end boutique hotel will address the lifestyle of the contemporary jet-setting professional. The project features amenities that will allow travelers to conduct business both locally and remotely while enjoying the unique room and food experiences that the Godfrey brand has become known for in Chicago and Boston. The property is slated to open in late 2018.
The West Hollywood EDITION (Opening: Late 2018, Spring 2019)
The West Hollywood EDITION, to be located at 9040 West Sunset Boulevard on the east corner of West Sunset Blvd. and North Doheny Drive, features 190 guest rooms, 20 luxury residences and over 5,200 sq. ft. of meeting space. Food and beverage outlets include a signature restaurant, a lobby lounge, rooftop venue and a nightclub/bar. Also available will be a rooftop pool /pool deck and a 4-treatment room spa.
Downtown L.A. Proper Hotel (Opening: Late 2018, Summer 2019)
Downtown L.A. Proper Hotel (Downtown) – Proper Hospitality, the new brand headed by former Viceroy Hotels chief Brad Korzen, is slated to debut their first Los Angeles hotel with a Downtown L.A. property.
The 13-story historic building on the corner of Broadway and 11th street was first home to the L.A. Press Club and then the Case Hotel. When it reopens as Downtown L.A. Proper Hotel it will boast 148 guest rooms, two ground floor restaurants, two unique presidential suites as well as a rooftop with restaurant, bar and swimming pool.
The Hoxton L.A. (Opening: Late 2018, Spring 2019)
The London-based Hoxton hotel brand is converting the historic Los Angeles Railway building at 1060 S. Broadway into the newest location of its hotel chain. The Hoxton L.A. will have 174 rooms spread over 10 storeys. There will be four room types: Snug, Cosy, Roomy and Biggy. The hotel will feature the brand’s first rooftop pool. It will open in late 2018.
Rosewood Miramar Beach Montecito (Opening January 2019)
Located 80 miles northwest of Los Angeles in Montecito’s idyllic seaside community, Rosewood Miramar Beach Montecito will offer 124 guest rooms and 37 suites on one of the most beautiful and exclusive beaches in Southern California.
Grupo Habita (Opening: Early 2019)
Grupo Habita, a Mexican chain of boutique hotels, will convert a 44,600-square-foot industrial structure at 400 South Alameda Street into a hotel. The three-story brick warehouse will be converted into 66 hotel rooms, including an approximately 3,800 square foot restaurant, approximately 840 square feet of specialty retail, and an approximately 890 square foot screening room. The hotel will also include a rooftop pool deck with a bar/lounge.
Park Hyatt Los Angeles at Oceanwide Plaza (Opening: Early 2019)
Scheduled to open in 2019, Park Hyatt Los Angeles at Oceanwide Plaza will exude a sophisticated character courtesy of acclaimed international design firm Studio Munge. Located directly adjacent to the Staples Center and L.A. Live, this five-star hotel will be situated amongst a collection of curated retailers and restaurants and a refined residential offering bringing a new level of sophistication to L.A.’s sports and entertainment district.
The 184-room luxury hotel – with 34 suites, meeting and events spaces, spa and wellness facilities and a swimming pool – will connect to the 100-foot retail and amenity podium known as The Collection at Oceanwide Plaza. The retail space design will lend to experience-driven guest accommodations amid a dynamic environment for innovative retailers to showcase unique merchandising concepts and sought-after products.
Fairmont Century Plaza (Opening: Spring 2019)
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts will operate the landmark Century Plaza hotel in Century City when it reopens as the Fairmont Century Plaza in spring 2019. In the heart of Los Angeles, the 394-room hotel will offer guests and locals alike a gourmet café, an American brasserie, a rooftop bar, and more.
