The Egyptian shark attack nightmare returns in 2023 following last year’s deadly attacks. Tourists visiting the popular Egyptian resort of Hurghada watched a man get eaten alive by a shark.
According to reports from Russian media, the incident took place on the beach of Dream Beach Hotel.
According to a Telegram channel news, the tragedy occurred 30 meters from the beach in front of other tourists. In a video filmed by eyewitnesses, a woman says off-camera: “She is now eating up his remains.”
It is noteworthy that vacationers and rescuers have seen a shark fin above the water for the past few days, but everyone thought it was dolphins swimming. Now, in nearby hotels, no one is allowed into the water.
The encounter was captured on video and the footage is quite frightening, with hotel personnel urging swimmers to leave the water as the shark’s fin approaches.

Update: According to Egypt’s Environment Ministry, the shark responsible for the death of a Russian individual near the town of Hurghada in the Egyptian Red Sea has been captured.
