Smartwings, the airline company, has announced a new addition to its summer 2024 offerings. Starting April 26, 2024, travelers can enjoy direct flights from Prague to Ponta Delgada in the Azores.
This new service, operating twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays, marks the first time travelers can journey from Prague to the Azores without any transfers.
The flight, QS1172, is scheduled to depart from Václav Havel Airport Prague at 12:00 noon every Tuesday and Friday, touching down in Ponta Delgada at 15:30 local time. The return flight, QS1173, will leave Ponta Delgada at 16:15 local time, arriving back in Prague at 22:50.
Tickets for this new route are available for purchase starting September 14. They can be acquired through the Smartwings and Czech Airlines websites, thanks to their code-share partnership, as well as from other flight ticket vendors.

We’re thrilled to offer our customers another enticing Atlantic destination, the largest Azores island of São Miguel. Now, they can enjoy a direct flight from Prague exclusively with Smartwings.”
Under the 2024 summer flight schedule, Smartwings plans to offer direct flights from Czech airports to over 70 destinations.
