Hajj and Umrah

Turkey Included in Saudi Arabia’s Electronic Visa Program

In a recent meeting held at the Turkish Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, the minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu discussed with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tevfik er-Rabia, and his delegation.

Uraloğlu emphasized the need to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries. He expressed gratitude for the ease of visa processing, stating, “This will significantly facilitate not only Hajj and Umrah but also other travels.”

Tevfik er-Rabia confirmed Turkey’s inclusion in the electronic visa program. With this application, Turkish citizens can obtain a visa in less than five minutes or upon arrival at any Saudi Arabian airport. The visa will be valid for one year, allowing a 90-day stay. Furthermore, with the electronic visa, Turkish citizens can visit not only Mecca and Medina but also all regions and cities in Saudi Arabia.

Er-Rabia also mentioned that Saudi Airlines is increasing its seat capacity and that there will be more flights from Ankara to Medina and Jeddah. The visiting Minister highlighted that both the inclusion in the electronic visa program and the increase in flight numbers will not only enhance bilateral relations but also positively impact tourism and other sectors.

Er-Rabia, having experienced Turkey’s domestic car, Togg, congratulated Turkey and expressed a desire to see Togg in Saudi Arabia soon. The meeting continued behind closed doors. (AA)
