Trump Turnberry Returns Following £1.6m Restoration

Trump Turnberry has returned its collection of cottage suites to their full glory, carefully restoring the nine two-bedroom accommodations with a £1.6 million investment in the Ayrshire resort.

Launched in March 2019, the two-bedroom Cottage Suites signal the next chapter in the landmark hotel’s ongoing multi-million-pound refurbishment. The latest investment opens up a new era of contemporary accommodation, offering a ‘home away from home’ option for guests, with Turnberry’s signature touches of luxury throughout.

Dating back to 1902, the Cottage Suites are at the forefront of the resort’s accommodation and have each been fully restored with Turnberry’s stunning surroundings and rich heritage in mind. Inside, they bear all the hallmarks of the resort’s exquisite décor, combining a timeless, cosy interior with modern functionality.

Available for three, four and seven night stays, each cottage suite sleeps up to four people and comprises a lounge, fully equipped kitchen and two spacious bedrooms, with amenities and technology to allow for a comfortable stay. Guests can also enjoy access to the leisure facilities within the resort and £50 credit to spend on a number of activities.

All the little touches that make family breaks more convenient are also included, from cots, high chairs and stair gates, to toddler steps and child-friendly dining ware. The cottages are also dog friendly, with gourmet treats, plush dog beds, water bowls and toys provided for four-legged visitors.

Guests have the option of enjoying the resort’s renowned spa, play time for the children at the on-site crèche, dining in the resort’s outstanding restaurants, or experiencing world class golf on the Open Championship Ailsa course, King Robert the Bruce course and Golf Academy. They can also take advantage of horse riding and Turnberry Adventures on site, which offers everything from archery and quad bike safaris, to mini highland games and water zorbing.

“We’re very proud to unveil the Cottage Suites at Turnberry. It’s a project we’ve put a lot of care and attention into and one which introduces a truly unique element to our renowned accommodation,” Ralph Porciani, general manager of Trump Turnberry said. “The Cottage Suites offer the unmistakable hospitality and atmosphere of Turnberry, but with the feel of a private haven for guests. They are perfectly suited to families and groups who want to explore everything Ayrshire has to offer including the nearby National Trust sites, Culzean Castle and Robert Burns Birthplace Museum. Each property has been lovingly restored and we are very much looking forward to welcoming guests to enjoy this new and exciting element of the resort.”

“Trump Turnberry is one of the finest golf resorts anywhere in the world and we are proud to announce our next phase of investment into this property. When complete, the Cottage Suites will be absolutely spectacular and will be an exciting new product offering for guests looking for even more space with all of the perks of a traditional hotel suite.” – Eric Trump
