Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) announced changes in flights to Asian destinations due to the ongoing outbreak of the novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).
Mr. Nond Kalinta, Vice President, Sales Department at Thai Airways said that due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) the company is offering a change fee waiver and reroute for passengers holding THAI tickets. Details are below:
- THAI roundtrip tickets and roundtrip codeshare flights with THAI Smile to Tokyo (Narita, Haneda), Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Sapporo, Sendai, Seoul, Busan, Taipei, Kaohsiung, and Singapore
- Roundtrip codeshare flights with THAI Smile to and from Chiang Mai – Kaohsiung
Passengers with tickets issued by THAI on 18 February 2020 or before, with travel date between 18 February 2020 and 31 March 2020 may change flights or reroute within ticket’s expiry date and/or issue for extension of ticket’s expiry date to 30 June 2020 whereby change fee will be waive, terms and conditions apply. Bookings must be changed prior to the date of flight departure and passengers may make ticket changes at any THAI Sales Office, onthaiairways.com, or through the THAI Contact Center Tel. 0-2356-1111, 24 hours a day.
Additionally, due to decreased demand on Asia flights, THAI adjusted its flights to match passenger demand and advance bookings.
