Capacity Analysis of The World’s Most Profitable Routes in February 2020

China’s leading aviation data service provider VariFlight has shared the daily flight operation data of transatlantic routes between Feb 1 and Mar 10, 2020, in a bid to facilitate the capacity analysis of the world’s most profitable routes.

Europe to/from the United States

Routes between Europe and the United States provided a total of 87,723 available seats on flights of the day, a decrease of 9.08% compared with the same period last week (96,480 available seats on March 5).

TOP5 airlines by seat capacity are United Airlines (15%), Delta Air Lines (14%), British Airways (12%), American Airlines (10%) and Lufthansa (10 %).

The United Kingdom to/from the United States

Routes between UK and the US provided a total of 27,749 available seats on flights of the day, an increase of 3.73% compared with the same period last week (26,752 available seats on March 5).

TOP5 airlines by seat capacity are British Airways (43%), American Airlines (21%), United Airlines (17%), Norwegian (9%) and Delta Air Lines (8%).

Europe to/from Canada

Routes between Europe and Canada provided a total of 30,151 available seats on flights of the day, a decrease of 1.86% compared with the same period last week (30,722 available seats on March 5).

TOP5 airlines by seat capacity are Air Canada (48%), Air Transat (8%), KLM (8%), Air France (8%) and British Airways (7%).
