France reopened its borders this week to vaccinated Americans after more than a year of travel restrictions. In time for summer travel, Air France offers the most flights of any airline from the United States to France.
The carrier is also extending its network with the launch of service from Denver starting July 2nd.
Air France will offer service to Paris-Charles de Gaulle during the 2021 summer season from 12 US cities: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, San Francisco and Washington D.C.
Air France’s service between the United States and Paris-CDG will operate as follows:
- New York-JFK: three daily flights by B777-300

Starting July, Air France, with its partner Delta, will offer nine times more flights between the United States and France than any other major airline.
Throughout the pandemic, Air France, KLM and Delta maintained services across the Atlantic for the transportation of cargo and customers flying for essential reasons. With more EU countries opening their borders to US tourists this summer, Air France customers can connect to other European destinations via its hub at Paris-CDG if they meet entry requirements.
“Americans are eager to resume leisure travel, and are excited by the reopening of France. Air France is pleased to provide passengers the opportunity to benefit from our commitment to exceptional service and the health and safety of everyone on board,” said Stéphane Ormand, Vice President and General Manager, USA.
Prior to any trip, Air France invites its customers to check the conditions of entry and the documents required on arrival at their destination. For more information, visit airfrance.traveldoc.aero.

The air recycling system on board Air France aircraft is equipped with HEPA – High Efficiency Particulate Air – filters identical to those used in hospital operating theatres. Air France has also reinforced aircraft cleaning procedures, notably with the disinfection of all surfaces in contact with customers such as armrests, tables and screens before each flight.
Easily Find A COVID-19 Test Center
Many countries now require passengers to provide a negative COVID-19 test result prior to departure. To assist customers who need to take this test before their trip, the SkyTeam alliance, of which Air France is a founding member, has developed an interactive map of approved screening centres, accessible on airfrance.com. This list is regularly updated, and new destinations will be added shortly.
1 Modifications – possibility of changing the date and/or destination of your ticket regardless of the fare conditions until the day of departure of the 1stflight. If the price of the new ticket is higher, the fare difference will be charged to the customer.
2 Refunds – possibility of requesting a ticket refund up to the day of departure of the 1st flight. If the fare conditions of your ticket do not allow a refund, a credit voucher valid for one year will be issued, the refund of which can be requested at any time.
