The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) has approved Istanbul’s new $3.5 billion undersea project that will connect Asian and European sides of Istanbul with a three-story undersea tunnel. Three levels of tunnel built for one railway and two land routes, cut travel times to 14 minutes.
“The three-level mega project will be the signal flare of the Turkish Republic, the fourth global state in Istanbul after three empires,” Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said while presenting the mega project beginning of this month.
