Air passengers are facing disruption as dozens more flights are cancelled because of thick fog in the UK. Airports affected include London Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham, Leeds Bradford and Liverpool. A Met Office yellow weather warning for fog, covering much of England and east Wales, is due to be in force until at least midday.
Today is the second foggy day in the UK. After long delays on Sunday, some delayed passengers landed at Heathrow – Britain’s busiest airport – in the early hours of the morning.
But many hoping to take off on Monday will be disappointed as around 45 flights – or 10 per cent of departures – from Heathrow were “pre-cancelled”.
Travel professionals heading to World Travel Market in London might be late for the exhibition.
