Singapore Airlines has officially opened its doors to the newly renovated SilverKris lounge at Perth Airport in Western Australia, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to enhancing the passenger experience on a global scale.

The latest renovation in Perth, represents the first overseas lounge makeover by Singapore Airlines since 2019, following the completion of its flagship lounge in Singapore’s Terminal 3.

Towards a Brighter Future in Air Travel

The unveiling of the Perth SilverKris lounge comes at a pivotal moment, coinciding with an increase in flight operations between Singapore and Perth. This expansion includes a 25% increase in Business Class seats and a 28% increase in passenger capacity on Scoot flights, indicating a rise in lounge-eligible passenger numbers.

The airline currently operates twenty-five flights per week on the Perth-Singapore route. This will increase to a fourth daily service from 31 March 2024 which means it has restored its pre-Covid frequency. The airline’s fourth daily flight will use an Airbus A350-900 which offers 303 seats (40 business and 263 Economy) bringing 220,584 more seats to the Perth market annually.

As reported by ACI, Perth Airport’s Chief Commercial and Aviation Officer Kate Holsgrove said “Singapore Airlines is Perth Airport’s number one international airline in terms of seat capacity delivering more than 930,000 seats per year to the Perth market.  Singapore has become Western Australia’s second largest international visitor market, injecting A$260 million into the economy in visitor expenditure alone last year.”

“The airline also has a long and proud record of linking the world with Western Australia and the additional flights will provide even more options for West Australians to travel to multiple cities in Asia, Europe and the USA via its Singapore hub.”
