American Tourist Found Dead in Greece

An American tourist, aged 55, was found dead near the shore of Mathraki Island in Greece, marking the third foreign tourist death in the country within a week.

The discovery was made amidst soaring temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, raising concerns about the safety of visitors.

The recent death follows the tragic news of British TV presenter Michael Mosley, whose body was found on Simi Island after days of searching. Additionally, a 79-year-old Dutch tourist was found dead on Samos Island last Saturday. These incidents highlight the potential dangers faced by tourists during Greece’s intense heatwave.

Greek authorities are currently using drones to search for two missing French tourists and one American tourist. The extreme heat has led to increased worry as more tourists are reported missing.

The heatwave has significantly impacted Greece, causing distress and danger for visitors. Officials are urging tourists to take precautions and stay hydrated to avoid heat-related illnesses.
