One of the world’s largest tourism fairs, EMITT 2025, has officially opened its doors at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul.
Now in its 28th edition, the event brings together travel professionals, industry leaders, and holidaymakers, offering a platform for new partnerships and business opportunities.
With support from the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Trade, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and Turkish Airlines, EMITT 2025 is backed by Türkiye İş Bankası as its main sponsor. The event also sees collaboration from key industry associations, including the Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TÜROFED) and the Turkish Tourism Investors Association (TTYD). This year, 666 tour operators from 78 countries are participating, reinforcing EMITT’s role as a global meeting point for the tourism sector.
Shaping the Future of Tourism
The second day of EMITT 2025 will focus on industry trends and innovations under the theme “Redefining Tourism: Bold Steps for a Sustainable Future.” Four thought-provoking sessions will highlight key topics, ranging from cultural heritage and responsible tourism to AI-driven hospitality solutions.
One of the discussions will explore the significance of Taş Tepeler, a historical and archaeological region in Turkey, and its influence on global cultural tourism. Another session will challenge the idea of tourism as just an experience, instead framing it as a responsibility toward local communities and the environment.
The event will also delve into the latest trends in the hospitality industry, including the rise of silent luxury and sustainable accommodations. Meanwhile, destination leaders will share insights on how alternative tourism models and artificial intelligence are shaping the industry’s future.
A Must-Visit Event for Travel Professionals and Enthusiasts
EMITT 2025 isn’t just for industry experts—it also offers visitors a chance to explore new travel destinations, tour packages, and unique tourism experiences. Running until February 7, the fair provides an exciting opportunity for both professionals and travelers to network, learn, and discover the latest developments in the global tourism landscape.
