Choice Hotels International has opened the Radisson Blu Bariloche, marking its first property in Argentina and expanding the Radisson Blu brand across Latin America.
Located along Lake Nahuel Huapi and surrounded by the Andes Mountains, the new upper-upscale hotel caters to travelers seeking luxury experiences and access to year-round outdoor recreation.
The debut of the Radisson Blu Bariloche supports Choice Hotels’ strategic growth of its premium portfolio in the Caribbean and Latin America. It joins existing properties such as Radisson Blu Aruba and Radisson Blu Acqua Hotel & Spa Concón in Chile as part of the company’s efforts to expand its international footprint in high-demand leisure destinations.
Design, Dining, and Wellness Offerings
The hotel features 80 rooms, including 32 suites, each with panoramic lake views and modern interiors. The accommodations are designed with upscale finishes and generous layouts to appeal to premium leisure travelers. Guests can choose from two on-site restaurants: Coolto, which serves fine Patagonian cuisine, and Omakase, a Japanese-Argentine fusion dining experience.
The culinary offerings are complemented by the Michel Rolland Wine Bar, showcasing a curated selection of regional and international wines, and El Ojo, a boutique that highlights artisanal Argentine chocolates. These dining options aim to integrate local flavors into the hotel’s luxury hospitality model.
“Radisson Blu Bariloche is a shining example of our commitment to offering world-class hospitality across the Caribbean and Latin America,” said Ricardo Losada Revol, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Choice Hotels’ International division. “With its sleek, modern design, immersive culinary experiences, and lakeside wellness offerings, this property stands out as a premier destination in one of Argentina’s most iconic locales.”
Access to Outdoor Activities in Patagonia
The hotel’s location in San Carlos de Bariloche provides easy access to one of Argentina’s most renowned natural regions. Guests can engage in hiking through Andean forests, snow sports on Cerro Catedral, sailing, fishing, and a variety of lake activities. The property’s wellness center—Lahuan Wellness Spa—offers yoga and meditation rooms, massage treatments, and a heated indoor-outdoor pool with bar service.
The hotel also includes a fitness center and relaxation spaces with direct views of the lake, aligning with the brand’s emphasis on wellness and immersive experiences. Bariloche has long been a destination for both domestic and international travelers drawn to Patagonia’s scenic landscapes and adventure offerings.
Choice Privileges Loyalty Program Access
Guests at the Radisson Blu Bariloche are eligible to earn and redeem points through Choice Privileges, the company’s award-winning loyalty program. Recognized by U.S. News & World Report and WalletHub, the program allows members to redeem points at more than 7,000 properties in 46 countries and territories across the Choice Hotels portfolio.
The opening of Radisson Blu Bariloche reflects Choice Hotels’ continued push into Latin American markets, positioning its brands in destinations that combine natural beauty with high-end travel demand. The Bariloche property strengthens the group’s upper-upscale offerings and enhances the visibility of the Radisson Blu brand in the Southern Cone.
