M&I will host its signature M&I Private event in Davos, Switzerland, from September 28 to October 1, 2025. The gathering is designed to connect boutique hotels, independent properties and regional hotel groups with buyers seeking venues that offer distinctive character and unique stories.
The forum will bring together 90 properties and 100 buyers from the UK and EU for four days of pre-scheduled meetings, networking opportunities and cultural experiences. Set against the Swiss Alps, the program combines business with immersive destination activities, highlighting Davos as both a meeting hub and leisure destination.
Program and host venue
The AlpenGold Davos will host the event, offering modern facilities combined with alpine design. Delegates will begin with a welcome dinner before a series of 1-to-1 meetings managed by M&I’s onsite team, which reports a buyer no-show rate of less than 1 percent. In total, over 40 targeted meetings are scheduled across the program.
Networking opportunities will extend beyond meeting rooms. Attendees will take part in activities that showcase Davos’s natural landscapes and cultural offerings. Evening events include a dinner at the Panorama Restaurant, known for its mountain views, and a closing celebration at the Davos Congress Centre, the venue of the World Economic Forum.
Industry partnerships and remarks
Partners supporting M&I Private Davos include Davos Congress / Convention Bureau, AlpenGold Hotel, Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau and Davos Services. Their collaboration is intended to underline the region’s strong infrastructure for hosting international events.
“M&I Private has long been one of our attendees most-loved Forums. They’re small, intimate, and targeted at real MICE niche – characterful independent properties with a story to tell,” said Richard Barnes, CEO of M&I.
“AlpenGold Davos is a brilliant example of the properties we’re looking to highlight, a unique property that stands out among the competition in an established MICE destination. It’s beautifully and uniquely designed, and I can’t wait for delegates to experience it. As a destination, Davos has the ideal setup, an established MICE infrastructure to hold events like the World Economic Forum every year plus boundless natural beauty.”
The 2025 edition continues M&I’s emphasis on creating platforms for independent properties in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) sector. By focusing on boutique and local hotel groups, the event aims to strengthen ties between suppliers and buyers looking for venues that balance functionality with distinct identity.
With Davos already established as a global meeting destination, M&I Private’s move to the Alpine town underscores its reputation as a venue capable of blending international business with cultural and natural appeal. The event highlights both the infrastructure that supports major gatherings and the regional experiences that add value for participants.
