Thailand is set to become the stage for the first full-scale outdoor Asian edition of Tomorrowland, when the country hosts one of the world’s most iconic music festivals 11-13 December 2026. Tomorrowland Thailand aims to welcome over 50,000 people per day across the three days.
An initial announcement was made in July and it is now officially confirmed that Pattaya, located about 100 km southeast of Bangkok, will play host to this world-famous electronic dance music festival.
Tomorrowland is held in Belgium annually and it is famous for rebuilding its fantastical worlds with spectacular visual effects on stage each summer. Tomorrowland invites legendary DJs from around the world and the biggest names in electronic music across various genres to perform each year, who include David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Afrojack and Swedish House Mafia.
International editions
Held since 2005, Tomorrowland’s success has led to the creation of spin-off festivals that have been held in the US, Brazil and France. Since 2019, the festival has set up a winter edition, Tomorrowland Winter, in the ski resort of Alpe d’Huez in France.
Tomorrowland Winter in France will be held from March 21 to 28, 2026, followed by its flagship Belgium editions in Boom, Antwerp over two weekends: July 16–19 and July 23–26, 2026. The celebration then moves to Asia with Tomorrowland Thailand in December before heading to South America for Tomorrowland Brazil in São Paulo from 30 April to 2 May 2027.
For the first time, Tomorrowland was held in China in November 2025 at the Hero Dome in Shanghai, marking the festival’s debut in the country, its first in Asia – and its first indoor showcase anywhere in the world. No future plans have been announced.
Pattaya in southern Thailand chosen as venue
Pattaya, located on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast, has been confirmed as the home of the festival. The 237-acre site will feature several spectacular stages as the iconic CORE and Freedom stages will also be featured in Asia for the first time, alongside new stages and experiences created exclusively for Thailand.
A festival of this magnitude is expected to generate a significant impact on the local and national economy and it is hoped that this festival will bring much economic relief to Thailand’s tourism industry which is facing challenges from dwindling tourist numbers.
For millions of travellers, music festivals are the centerpiece of their trips. Music tourism is thriving, with the industry projected to hit $15.53 billion by 2034.
With two festivals in Europe, one in South America, and now the first full-scale Asian edition taking shape, a new piece of the Tomorrowland story is being written.
While there will be no DreamVille camping in Thailand, a wide range of accommodation with shuttles will be available when the hotel packages sale opens on 28 February. This will be followed by the worldwide ticket sale on 7 March 2026. Pre-registration for tickets opened on 8 January.
