Riu water park in Costa Rica

RIU opens its first water park in Costa Rica

Ten years ago, RIU Hotels & Resorts opened its first hotel in Costa Rica: the Riu Guanacaste, located on Matapalo beach, followed by the Riu Palace Costa Rica in 2012. Now RIU opens its first water park; offering its customers at no additional cost.

As there is no additional cost to customers for enjoying the new park since it is part of the 24-Hour All-Inclusive program the chain offers at the destination.

The new Splash Water World features five slides of varying speeds, like the four-lane Aquaracer slide and two body bowl tubes, in addition to various games with jets and water pistols, and pools with aquatic elements for small children. All the aquatic fun needed to have a great time at any age!

With this new infrastructure, RIU wants to offer more dynamic activities for a larger number of participants, in addition to creating exclusive spaces for customers looking for more adrenaline and fun on their vacations. This new water park is located at the entrance to the RIU Complex in Guanacaste, so it’s easily accessible to the guests of both hotels.

The Riu Guanacaste hotel, opened in 2009, is a five-star, All-Inclusive hotel located on the fantastic Matapalo beach. It has 700 fully equipped rooms, five restaurants and five bars, in addition to three swimming pools and a multitude of activities and entertainment for the whole family. In 2012, RIU opened the sophisticated Riu Palace Costa Rica hotel. With over 500 rooms, five restaurants and seven bars, it shares common areas with its neighbor, the Riu Guanacaste hotel, like the casino and spa, in addition to various shops. Likewise, guests at both hotels can enjoy the private beach area and the marvelous gardens surrounding the two complexes.
