IHG Halts Investments in Russia

Global hospitality firm IHG suspended future investments, development activity and new hotel openings in Russia on Thursday amid the war in Ukraine.

“We are also closing our corporate office in Moscow but will continue to support our colleagues,” the Holiday-inn parent company said in a statement.

IHG is working with its hotel owners in countries neighboring Ukraine to offer refugees temporary accommodation.

With a family of 17 hotel brands including Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas, Regent Hotels & Resorts, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts, IHG has nearly 6,000 hotels in more than 100 countries.
