Most Countries Flown to: Turkish Airlines Breaks Guinness Record

Guinness World Records has officially recognized Turkish Airlines as the airline that flies to the most countries.

With flights to 120 active destinations over the past 12 months and a network covering 131 countries, Turkish Airlines has an unmatched global reach.

The record-breaking achievement was marked with a ceremony at Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Chile following the airline’s inaugural flight to the country.

The Guinness certificate was presented in the presence of Turkish Airlines executives and Guinness World Records representatives.

According to Guinness criteria, the record reflects routes flown consistently over the last year, emphasizing the airline’s operational strength.

Bilal Ekşi, General Manager of Turkish Airlines, expressed pride in the milestone: “We are delighted to receive the ‘Most Countries Flown to by an Airline’ title here in Santiago, our newest route. Holding this distinction for over a decade underscores our mission to connect people, cultures, and destinations around the world.”

Talal Omar, Vice President of Guinness World Records MENA and Turkey, highlighted the significance of the achievement: “Today marks a remarkable milestone for Turkish Airlines, showcasing their dedication to connecting the world. This extraordinary success affirms their vital role in global aviation by reaching more international destinations than any other airline.”

Turkish Airlines’ expansion into Chile is part of its ongoing growth strategy, strengthening its position as a leader in international travel.
