Thailand’s Los Angeles Office Organize Virtual Marketplace

The Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Los Angeles office will host its 4th Annual Virtual Marketplace – The Americas Chapter on July 28 and 29, 2021 to connect travel professionals with a robust variety of Thailand’s top tourism attractions and suppliers.

Open to buyers from the U.S., Canada and Latin America, this year’s event has attracted more participants than ever, with more than 44 suppliers and 700 travel professionals signed up to participate.

“We are proud to have pioneered a digitally advanced trade event which gives Thai suppliers a virtual platform to connect with international buyers. As Thailand reopens its borders for quarantine-free travel under a phased program, the Virtual Marketplace will serve an essential role in educating the industry on the reopening scheme as well as the latest product offerings throughout Thailand,” said Siriwan Seeharach, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Los Angeles Office.

“We are thrilled that interest from the travel industry has been so strong and look forward to the opportunity to empower suppliers and buyers to forge new partnerships and drive visitation to Thailand’s diverse visitor attractions.”

Attendees of the Virtual Marketplace can participate in a full range of experiences, including informational sessions, seminars themed on wellness and romance, virtual happy hours and even a selfie room. While individual appointments with suppliers have reached capacity, attendees can chat one-on-one live with representatives from airlines, hotels, tour operators and visitor attractions. Participating suppliers include Bangkok Airways, EVA Air, Qatar Airways, Japan Airlines, Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River, the Peninsula Bangkok, Banyan Tree Hotels, Abercrombie & Kent, The Siam, Blue Voyage and so much more.

All attendees will have the chance to win a grand prize trip to Thailand for two, with the winner to be announced at the closing event. Additional gifts and Thai souvenirs will be given away throughout the marketplace’s seminars and events. New to this year, the Virtual Marketplace will also be available as a fully functional mobile app for both IOS and Android, under “Thailand Virtual Event.”

Thailand has reopened for fully vaccinated international travellers without quarantine requirements starting with Phuket, Surat Thani’s Ko Samui, Ko Phangan and Ko Tao from July 1.
