Royal endorsements are not to be taken lightly, especially when they back a national cause. The upcoming Inter Tourism Expo of Accra (iNTTA 2023), a cornerstone event in Ghana’s tourism calendar, is set to receive unprecedented attention as the King of Accra, H.E. Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has officially extended his support.
The event will be held from September 18th to 26th at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra.
Organized under the patronage of Ghana’s Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, the iNTTA 2023 aims to promote “Reviving Sustainable and Equitable Economic Growth in Tourism”. It is poised to attract a broad range of participants, including exhibitors, buyers, trade visitors from the African continent, and travel professionals globally.
The King’s personal involvement was confirmed during a recent meeting at his private residence, where he hosted Emmanuel Treku of Expo Ghana and Alain St.Ange, his Seychelles Tourism Consultant. His Majesty announced not only his support for the expo but also his intention to personally address the event. His attendance, along with that of key members of his entourage, will add an extraordinary layer of credibility and focus to the expo.
“His Majesty’s involvement signals the seriousness with which Ghana is looking at tourism as a potential industry for equitable economic growth,” said Emmanuel Treku, highlighting the impact of the royal endorsement.
The event is anticipated with much excitement by the private sector, which is keenly interested in leveraging tourism as an engine for economic revival. The iNTTA 2023 is increasingly seen as a platform that will help re-position Ghana as a leader in the global tourism sector.
The backing of the King of Accra represents a significant milestone for the iNTTA 2023. It not only elevates the stature of the event but also magnifies the focus on sustainable and equitable tourism, making it one of the most eagerly awaited events of its kind in the region.
