Gourmet Glory: World Culinary Awards 2023 Announces Best in Global Cuisine

The culinary world’s elite gathered at the Atlantis The Royal in Dubai for the much-anticipated World Culinary Awards 2023.

This global initiative, dedicated to recognizing and rewarding outstanding achievements in the culinary industry, unveiled this year’s winners in a grand dinner reception.

Dubai, known for its diverse and exquisite gastronomic offerings, clinched the titles for both ‘World’s Best Culinary Destination’ and ‘Middle East’s Best Culinary Destination’. Paris, the city of love and gourmet food, was honored as the ‘World’s Best Culinary City Destination’, while France took home the title of ‘Europe’s Best Culinary Destination’. Other notable winners included Peru for ‘Latin America’s Best Culinary Destination’, Cape Town as ‘Africa’s Best Culinary City Destination’, Jamaica for ‘Caribbean’s Best Culinary Destination’, and Thailand as ‘Asia’s Best Culinary Destination’.

The World Culinary Awards embarked on a year-long quest to identify the crème de la crème of the culinary world. Votes poured in from both industry professionals and the general public, culminating in the selection of the most voted nominee in each category.

Rina van Staden, Director of World Culinary Awards, expressed her admiration for the winners, stating, “The 2023 awardees are shining examples of culinary excellence. Their dedication and passion have elevated the global culinary standards. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all.”

The awards night also celebrated other global winners. Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers was named the ‘World’s Best Culinary Hotel’, Forte Village Resort as the ‘World’s Best Culinary Resort’, and Zuma Dubai took the title for ‘World’s Best Brunch Venue’. Other notable mentions include Mezzaluna @ Lebua State Tower for ‘World’s Best Fine Dining Hotel Restaurant’, Saigontourist Group Culinary Culture, Delicacies Festival as the ‘World’s Best Culinary Festival’, and Ecole Ducasse was recognized as the ‘World’s Best Culinary Training Institution’.

The event also highlighted regional culinary champions, including Siba the Restaurant @ The Table Bay, Pier Restaurant in Cape Town, Anan Restaurant & Rooftop Bar, and many more from various continents, each setting a benchmark in their respective categories.

The World Culinary Awards 2023 not only celebrated the achievements of established culinary brands but also provided a platform for emerging talents, setting the stage for the future of the global culinary scene.

World Culinary Awards is the sister event to World Travel Awards, currently celebrating its 30th anniversary and organized the World Travel Awards (WTA) Middle East Gala Ceremony 2023 at the same venue.
