From Istanbul to Europe: MNG Airlines’ Strategic Move with ERA Membership

MNG Airlines, a prominent Istanbul-based carrier with a global footprint spanning four continents and 41 countries, has announced its membership with the European Regions Airline Association (ERA).

This move signifies the airline’s commitment to further enhancing the global aviation landscape and marks a significant milestone in its illustrious journey of over 25 years.

With a vast network covering more than 100 routes, MNG Airlines boasts a versatile cargo handling capability, including perishables, dangerous goods, and other special cargo types. The airline’s services extend beyond just air transport, encompassing scheduled and block space, charter, ACMI, warehouse, and technical and ramp services.

The airline’s operational prowess has been recognized multiple times by industry giant Airbus. MNG Airlines has been honored with the Operational Excellence Award for its A300/A300-600 freighter fleet four times in the past 15 years. This accolade places them among the elite A300/A310 operators globally.

Montserrat Barriga, Director General of ERA, warmly welcomed MNG Airlines to the association, highlighting the airline’s respected position in the industry. “As a leading independent logistics provider and a global e-commerce enabler, we eagerly anticipate the wealth of knowledge and expertise MNG Airlines will bring,” Barriga remarked. She further emphasized the dynamic mix of airline members within ERA and expressed delight at MNG Airlines joining the fold, expanding the association’s diverse membership base.

Echoing Barriga’s sentiments, Gokay Ozdemir, Vice Chairman of the Board at MNG Airlines, expressed enthusiasm about the new partnership. “Joining the esteemed ERA family is a proud moment for us,” Ozdemir said. “We are poised for a fruitful collaboration and envision endless skies ahead.”

This new alliance promises to bolster MNG Airlines’ position in the European market and further solidify its reputation as a global aviation powerhouse.
