Dan Lyle new GM of Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite

Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite Welcomes Dan Lyle

Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite has named Dan Lyle as general manager of the 352 room resort located at Yosemite National Park’s south gate.

Tenaya Lodge is owned and operated by Delaware North and is set on 75 forested acres featuring a main lodge, cottages and new two-bedroom Explorer Cabins.

“The opportunity to join the Tenaya team and return to the Yosemite region is a special honor,” said Lyle. “I began my career in 1987 at the Yosemite Park and Curry Company, so my career has come full circle. I’m looking forward to leading our talented hospitality team as Delaware North continues to invest in and expand the range of accommodation, dining and activity options at this incredible property.”

Lyle most recently served with Delaware North as general manager at Grand Canyon National Park overseeing Yavapai Lodge and Trailer Village as well as the park’s dining and retail. A longtime hospitality executive, Lyle’s senior leadership roles also have included positions as director of finance for Delaware North’s Yosemite National Park operations and director of reservations and national revenue manager for Aramark in Phoenix, Ariz. In the early 2000’s, Lyle managed central reservations for Delaware North’s reservations center in Fresno, Calif.

Lyle assumes the new role following the retirement of Paul Ratchford, who served as general manager for the past eight years. Lyle will oversee the completion of the clubhouse for the Explorer Cabins, which opened in July. He will also continue rebranding projects for guest and associate engagement that enhance the stellar reputation that Tenaya Lodge enjoys in the Yosemite and Sierra Nevada region.

The Lyle family will be relocating from Grand Canyon after this school year and will be attending school in Mariposa.

Setting the standard for High Sierra hospitality and adventure, Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite is an award-winning, all-season resort adjacent to Yosemite National Park’s south gate. Lodge, cottage and cabin accommodations satisfy a wide variety of preferences and are set on 75 acres primed for outdoor recreation that invite visitors to explore and connect with nature. From the nourishing Ascent Spa to custom-curated Yosemite tours, guided hikes and seasonal activities, a deep appreciation for the iconic location is infused into every aspect of the resort experience that also includes world-class views, multiple pools and abundant dining options ranging from casual to candlelit.
