Japan is known around the world for its extremely efficient rail network that extends right across the country. The country adds a new train station on the JR Keiyo Line.
The Makuharitoyosuna Station on the JR Keiyo Line opened on Saturday, March 18, 2023. The new station is approximately 1.7 kilometers from both Kaihimmakuhari Station and Shin-Narashino Station in Mihama-ku, Chiba City. Conveniently located adjacent to one of the biggest shopping centers in Japan, the Aeon Mall Makuhari New City, it is hoped to bring absolute convenience to the commuting public.
The Makuharitoyosuna Station is the 2nd station in the Makuhari New City after Kaihimmakuhari Station. Makuhari New City is an integrated and multifunctional city built on reclaimed Makuhari land. It is home to some of Japan’s most recognized world-class facilities, including Makuhari Messe, ZOZO Marine Stadium, the Japan Football Association training facility, and AEON MALL Makuhari New City. It serves as the central business hub of Chiba, combining development of science, commerce, sports & recreation, and residential establishments. There are numerous hotels and corporate headquarters in the area. The Makuhari New City is only 30 minutes by direct shuttle bus from Narita and Haneda airports, and 30 minutes by train from the nation’s capital, Tokyo.
