Netherlands Lifts All Coronavirus Restrictions

The Netherlands decided Tuesday to lift all coronavirus restrictions.

Though case numbers remain high, the virus does not pose a significant threat, said Dutch Health Minister Ernst Kuipers.

Beginning March 23, all restrictions will be removed but the government advises citizens to be careful about hygiene, he said.

Working from home is no longer advised and presenting negative test results for entering closed spaces with a capacity of 500 people is not required, said Kuipers.

Furthermore, EU citizens who travel to a country from inter- or extra-EU countries will not have to present vaccine certificates or negative test results.

Wearing a mask is advised, however, in public transpiration, he added.
