Minor Hotels is expanding its footprint in the United Arab Emirates with the announcement of the Avani+ Fujairah Resort, a stylish new coastal property set to open in 2028. Positioned on the serene eastern coastline of the UAE, the resort will mark the debut of the Avani brand in Fujairah and introduce its first true resort experience in the country. The move highlights the group’s strategic focus on key leisure destinations and reflects the rising appeal of Fujairah as a travel hotspot.
Introducing a Fresh Take on Beachside Living
Located along the Gulf of Oman, the Avani+ Fujairah Resort will feature 232 contemporary rooms and 16 expansive villas designed with both couples and families in mind. Some villas will include private pools and direct access to tranquil lagoons—features rarely seen in the region’s hospitality scene. With a commitment to blending style with functionality, the new resort aims to attract a wide range of travelers seeking modern comforts alongside nature-infused relaxation.
This project is being developed in collaboration with Al Fahim Group, one of the UAE’s most respected family-owned conglomerates. Through its hospitality investment arm, Emirates Property Investment Company (EPICO), Al Fahim continues to strengthen its real estate and tourism portfolio. The partnership follows the success of the Avani+ Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites, reaffirming a shared vision between the two hospitality giants.
A Destination Designed for Experience-Led Travel
From spa indulgence to family-friendly entertainment, the Avani+ Fujairah Resort will offer a diverse lineup of amenities. Guests can expect an AvaniSpa, a rooftop grill restaurant with sweeping ocean views, a vibrant poolside bar, and The Pantry, Avani’s grab-and-go signature concept. An all-day dining venue will also provide international cuisine rooted in fresh, locally inspired flavors.
Wellness and activity seekers will find plenty to enjoy with the AvaniFit fitness center, a central swimming pool, and dedicated facilities for younger guests, including AvaniKids and teens’ clubs complete with splash pools and social spaces. For professionals blending business with leisure, the resort will also offer MICE-friendly facilities such as meeting rooms and banquet halls, making it ideal for retreats, weddings, and corporate events.
Fujairah: A Rising Star on the UAE Travel Map
Often overshadowed by Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Fujairah is increasingly drawing attention for its natural beauty, mountainous backdrops, and coastal charm. Unlike the more developed western emirates, Fujairah offers a more relaxed pace of life and a rawer, more authentic slice of the UAE. Its position on the Gulf of Oman provides an alternative beachfront experience that is both scenic and uncrowded.
William Heinecke, Chairman and Founder of Minor International, highlighted the importance of the project, saying, “The signing of Avani+ Fujairah Resort is a key step in our continued growth across the Middle East, reflecting the rising strength of the Avani brand.”
Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels and Group CEO of Minor International, echoed the enthusiasm: “Fujairah’s potential as a leisure destination aligns perfectly with Avani’s focus on stylish, experience-led hospitality.”
Ahmed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Chairman of Al Fahim Group, added, “We are proud to partner once again with Minor Hotels to bring Avani Hotels to Fujairah. Our continued investment reflects our confidence in its strong positioning and guest appeal.”
Setting the Stage for 2028 and Beyond
The opening of Avani+ Fujairah Resort is more than just another ribbon-cutting—it’s a statement of intent. Minor Hotels is betting on the future of experience-led travel in the UAE, and Fujairah is set to benefit. With its pristine beaches, laid-back atmosphere, and strategic location on the east coast, the emirate is ready to welcome a new wave of discerning travelers.
Whether for a family holiday, a romantic escape, or a business retreat, Avani+ Fujairah Resort promises to deliver a refreshing alternative to the typical UAE resort experience. By combining contemporary design with thoughtful service and immersive experiences, the resort aims to become a landmark destination that celebrates both local character and global comfort.
As 2028 approaches, anticipation will build—not only for the opening of a resort, but for the emergence of Fujairah as a destination that finally steps into its well-deserved spotlight.
