Deutsche Hospitality Opens Hotels in Austria

Deutsche Hospitality says “Yes, we are open!”. Deutsche Hospitality reopens its hotels in Austria from 29 May 2020.

As travel restrictions begin to ease and many countries gear up to celebrate the Whitsun holiday, the Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof in Vienna and the Steigenberger Hotel & Spa Krems will both be reopening for leisure travelers on 29 May. They will be followed by the IntercityHotel Vienna and the MAXX by Steigenberger Vienna, which will start receiving guests again on 2 June and 1 July respectively. Some of Deutsche Hospitality’s Austrian hotels have been using the break caused by the corona crisis to carry out renovations in their guest rooms and public areas.

“We have smartened ourselves up and are delighted to be able to welcome guests back to all our Austrian hotels at last,” said Elisabeth Perwanger, Area General Manager Austria at Deutsche Hospitality. “Our team has made thorough preparations for this moment. Staff at the hotels have been given targeted training, and we are now ideally placed to offer our guests the highest possible hygiene standards whilst also delivering maximum comfort.” The extensive measures which have been instigated include more frequent cleaning and disinfection and social distancing rules in public areas.

Three floors at the Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof Vienna have just been renovated and now feature new parquet flooring, fresh and cosy colour concepts and elegant interiors. The “Béla Béla” Restaurant on the first floor is set to greet the summer by throwing open its windows. Guests yearning for a holiday experience will be able to enjoy Mediterranean and Balkan specialities on the balcony whilst looking out over Vienna’s central district. Locally designed protective masks will also help support the hotel’s comprehensive hygiene and social distancing concept.

The Steigenberger Hotel & Spa Krems, which is located in the picturesque town of Krems on the River Danube, is looking spick and span too. The hotel’s Vineyard Terrace offers peace and seclusion, and guests will also be able to savour delicious drinks and snacks on the Sky Garden Terrace whilst taking in magnificent views of the Danube Valley. A health and beauty spa facility extending over an area of 3.000 m² provides lots of space to relax. A separately situated 30 square metre forest sauna with panoramic vistas represents a further highlight.

The IntercityHotel Vienna will be back in business on 2 June. The hotel is located right at the heart of Austria’s largest shopping district with easy access to the city centre. It also provides the ideal starting point for those wishing to explore Vienna and its surroundings.

The design hotel MAXX by Steigenberger Vienna will be putting out the “Yes, we are open” signs from 1 July. The emphasis here is on creating a young, urban and casual look and feel, and the hotel’s lobby clearly demonstrates just what it means to have room to move. A huge open space complete with a reception area, lounge, bar and seating areas takes up the entire ground floor to give plenty of separation and wide perspectives.
