IHG Hotels & Resorts, a prominent global hospitality company, has announced a significant collaboration with A.P.K Real Estate Co., Ltd, a highly experienced real estate developer in Thailand, for the development of Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bangkok Asok.
This partnership marks the expansion of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites brand in the country and serves as the first joint venture between IHG and A.P.K Real Estate Co., Ltd.
Scheduled to open in early 2025, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bangkok Asok will be transformed from the BelAir Mansion residential condominium. The hotel will feature 180 rooms, including suites with kitchenettes, catering to both domestic and international travelers seeking convenience and comfort. Additionally, the hotel will offer amenities such as a lounge and bar, swimming pool, meeting room, gym, and DIY laundry.
Saowarin Chanprakaisi, Senior Director of Development for South East Asia and Korea at IHG Hotels & Resorts, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating that Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bangkok Asok will become a beloved destination for visitors in the city. Chanprakaisi also emphasized IHG’s commitment to expanding their portfolio in Thailand, highlighting the existing six Holiday Inn Express properties and an additional 10 properties in the pipeline. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bangkok Asok will be the second of its kind in the country, following the soon-to-open Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bangkok Central Pier.

With over three decades of success in the residential market, Jiramaneekul acknowledged the value that the suites category would bring to leisure and extended-stay guests. The collaboration with IHG Hotels & Resorts was seen as an opportunity to ensure a successful return on investment, leveraging IHG’s expertise and the global reputation of the Holiday Inn Express brand.
Strategically located on Sukhumvit 23, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bangkok Asok will be conveniently situated near Sukhumvit MRT station and Asok BTS station interchange, providing easy access for travelers. The hotel will also be in close proximity to various retail and entertainment complexes, including Terminal 21 and EM District, catering to both leisure and business guests.

An additional 14 properties are in the pipeline, expanding the brand’s presence in Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
