IHG Hotels & Resorts is continuing its rapid growth in Thailand with the signing of a new luxury property, the InterContinental Phang-Nga Bay Resort.
Set to open in 2028, this new resort will be located in the scenic Samet Nangshe area of Phang-Nga, a breathtaking destination renowned for its stunning views of limestone peaks and the natural beauty of Phang-Nga Bay National Park.
The resort is the result of a partnership between IHG and Plaipol Co., Ltd., marking Plaipol’s first venture into the hospitality sector. The 150-key InterContinental Phang-Nga Bay Resort is poised to offer travelers an exceptional escape with its luxurious suites, private pool villas, and state-of-the-art facilities, including two restaurants, a bar, a Club InterContinental lounge, meeting spaces, a spa, and a Kids Club.
Phang-Nga Bay is one of Thailand’s most celebrated natural attractions, and the new resort will offer unparalleled access to its unique limestone cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and nearby islands. Visitors will be able to explore Khao Lak beach, enjoy activities like surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, and island hopping, or simply relax in the tranquil surroundings.
IHG currently operates 39 hotels in Thailand, including 15 resorts under its various brands. InterContinental Phang-Nga Bay Resort will be the latest addition to the brand’s luxury portfolio, further strengthening IHG’s presence in the region. With recent openings such as InterContinental Bangkok, InterContinental Khao Yai Resort, and InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping, the company continues to expand its luxury offerings throughout Thailand.

The resort will be conveniently located just 45 minutes from Phuket International Airport and 20 minutes from the new Andaman Airport, making it easily accessible for both domestic and international travelers.
