IHG Hotels & Resorts, a global hotel giant, has announced its collaboration with MMS Land. Their joint venture aims to introduce the Vignette Collection’s inaugural hotel in Indonesia.
The beachfront property, Rumah Luwih Bali, boasts 74 rooms and suites. It’s set to integrate into the IHG system this year. By 2024, after significant renovations, it will transition fully into a Vignette Collection establishment. The resort, reflecting a blend of heritage and hospitality, will undergo enhancements to provide an authentic and immersive experience.
Vignette Collection: A New Era of Luxury
Rumah Luwih Bali is the latest addition to the Vignette Collection’s luxurious portfolio. Each hotel under this brand is distinct, yet they all share a commitment to benefiting people, the environment, and communities. These properties cater to the modern luxury traveler, emphasizing unique design and character.
Chris Anklin, IHG’s Senior Director for Development in South East Asia and Korea, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion. He highlighted IHG’s rapid growth in Indonesia, with 24 operational hotels and 15 more in the works. Anklin emphasized Bali’s significance as a pivotal tourism center for both local and international visitors.
He further elaborated on IHG’s robust presence in Bali. With renowned brands like Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, and Hotel Indigo, IHG is no stranger to the luxury market. The introduction of the Vignette Collection, especially along Bali’s East Coast, is expected to offer travelers a unique experience.
CEO of MMS Land, Mr. Andre Chandra Biantoro, shared his anticipation for the Vignette Collection’s debut in Indonesia. He mentioned Rumah Luwih’s acquisition by MMS Land in April 2023 and its distinct identity. Biantoro expressed confidence in IHG’s expertise, believing it will elevate the guest experience and attract new visitors.
Rumah Luwih Bali is a picturesque property nestled amidst Bali’s natural beauty. With views of Mount Agung and the ocean, this colonial-style mansion offers 74 guest accommodations. Located near the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, the hotel provides various amenities, including a restaurant, pool, fitness center, and spa.
