Golden Sands Resort, Penang by Shangri-La announces the appointment of its new hotel manager.
Tane Picken with over 14 years of experience across Africa, the Middle East, China, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand becomes the new hotel manager that will assist Ms. Elaine Yue, general manager of Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, Penang, in managing the daily operations at Golden Sands Resort and developing key strategies for the 387-guestroom family resort.
Energetic, gregarious and passionate, Mr Picken hails from South Africa. Multi-culturally attuned, he inspires and leads his team of managers to ensure that everyone is fully equipped with the right skill sets, aptitude and mindset to confidently interact with guests while achieving the global Shangri-La standards of service in delighting customers and ensuring customer loyalty.
Prior to his appointment at Golden Sands Resort by Shangri-La, Mr Picken was the resident manager at Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa, Singapore.
