The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre announced the appointment of Sudesh Sharma as its Director of Operations.
Sudesh has over 30 years of experience in the operations management of business events, hospitality and food & beverage.
In his current role at the Centre, Sudesh oversees the operational aspect of primary functions, which include planning, implementing, monitoring and improving effective service delivery, ensuring events in the new norms are executed in a smooth and controlled manner.
Alan Pryor, the Centre’s General Manager, shared, “We are delighted to have Sudesh as part of our senior leadership team, and it is just the right time as the Centre rebounds itself and advances to the next phase of business events that is heavily complemented by digital transformation, and as we continue to innovate and grow our food and beverage product and service offerings. On behalf of my entire team, I would like to congratulate Sudesh and wish him all the very best in his new role.”
Sudesh joined the Centre as the Deputy Director of Operations and was key in the successful delivery of major international high-profile association and government meetings like the 62nd ISI World Statistics Congress 2019, 29th International Congress for Conservation Biology 2019, 9th World Urban Forum 2018, Worldchefs Congress 2018, and 26th ASEAN Summit 2015.
Having served at prominent global hotel brands across the Southeast Asian region in a similar senior capacity, Sudesh’s vast knowledge and versatile capabilities has over the years helped the Centre streamline and enhance its operational and service delivery.
