Hector de Galard has been appointed as Managing Director of Leeu Collection. Set in and around the picturesque village of Franschhoek, in South Africa’s scenic winelands, the Leeu Collection gives new meaning to the concept of leisure.
De Galard worked as President of Business Operations and has been heading up the Leeu Collection project on behalf of Max Ventures, the Leeu Collection parent company, for the past 3 years.
De Galard is a highly experienced hotelier with an eye for detail who has opened no less than seven luxury resorts around the world, from Mauritius to Mexico and Morocco. Major brands he has worked with include Amanresorts, CampbellGray Hotels and the One&Only group, with all the hotels being members of the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World or Relais & Châteaux portfolios. He has more than two decades of work experience in the world of hospitality, and specialises in launching and operating innovative, world-class hotels and resorts while delivering the best luxury service.
