Tunisair will take delivery of its new A330-200, dubbed “Tunis” on 9 June 2015. The addition of the new Airbus aircraft will strengthen the existing fleet of the company, part of the fleet renewal plan launched in 2008 by Tunisair on the order of 13 aircraft, 10 A320s and three A330s. “Tunis” will be scheduled for commercial flights from June 11, 2015.
With a completely redesigned new cab and equipped with in-flight entertainment system of the latest generation and spacious seats, our new Airbus will accommodate, depending on its configuration, up to 24 seats in Business Class and 236 in economy class.
Tunisair is looking forward to welcoming additional equipment of the Airbus family in its fleet; especially the A330-200 is known to be the aircraft that best meets the needs of airlines in terms of capacity and radius of action in the segment of medium and long-haul aircraft. Furthermore, its superb economics and high operating costs will enable our company to continue the development of its routes while offering our passengers the comforts of an upscale cabin.
The second A330, registered MSN1641 TS-IFN, made a successful test flight from Toulouse towards Chateauroux Centre Airport which has been made the painting and returned Wednesday, June 3 at Toulouse adorned with the logo of Tunisair and the Tunisian flag.
