Adria Airways offers direct flight connections from Vienna to Paderborn in the eastern part of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. The new route is the second destination served by the Slovenian airline from Vienna Airport.
Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport said, “The addition of Paderborn means that twelve German cities can now be directly reached from Vienna. Above all, the new connection strengthens bilateral flight traffic between Austria and Germany. As a result, business and leisure travelers have an even wider range of options to choose from, and this German city can be reached from Vienna for the very first time.”
There are already records of the City of Paderborn in the year 777 AD. The large German city is also rich in sights thanks to its long history. A walk through the old town resembles a journey through time, with more than 20 historic buildings from different eras waiting to be discovered. The picturesque setting on the Pader River, the shortest in Germany with a length of only four kilometers, invites people to relax. The waterway flows directly via the antique “Stümpelsche Mill” to the island-like location of Neuhaus Castle, which is an important Renaissance building and tourist highlight.
Four weekly flights to Paderborn
The new route served by Adria Airways will deploy a Saab 2000 jet four times per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays). The flight will take off on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Paderborn at 11:55 a.m. and land in Vienna at 12:55 p.m. The return flight will depart from Vienna at 1:55 p.m. and arrive in Paderborn again at 3:50 p.m. On Sunday the aircraft will leave Paderborn at 2:10 p.m. and touch down in Vienna Airport at 4 p.m. before leaving Vienna at 4:55 p.m. and arriving in Paderborn at 6:50 p.m.
