Binter Boosts Spanish Connectivity With 9 New Direct Flights

Binter boosts Spanish connectivity with 9 new direct flights linking the Canary Islands to several mainland cities. With its latest expansion, the airline is strengthening air access between the archipelago and the rest of Spain, offering travelers more options, flexibility, and premium service without the premium price.

In a major development for regional travel, Binter has launched new routes to Badajoz, Córdoba, Almería, Granada, Valencia, Pamplona, and Murcia, all operated directly from Tenerife or Gran Canaria. These additions not only enhance accessibility for both tourists and locals but also promise a seamless, comfortable flying experience thanks to the airline’s signature service features.

Passengers can now fly from Tenerife to Granada twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, adding to the four weekly connections between Gran Canaria and Granada that began in 2023. Similarly, Valencia is now connected to both Gran Canaria and Tenerife with 16 flights per week—double daily on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—adding up to nearly 84,000 seats annually between Valencia and the islands.

In its latest launch, Binter introduced direct flights from the Canary Islands to Badajoz, Córdoba, and Almería, with two weekly departures on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This summer, the airline is also operating new routes from Tenerife North to Pamplona and Murcia. Each of these cities now enjoys direct access to the Canaries without needing layovers in Madrid or Sevilla—dramatically improving convenience for both leisure and business travelers.

All Binter flights come with consistent high-end service, regardless of the fare. Each ticket includes complimentary hand luggage, a gourmet snack, and onboard comfort provided by the Embraer E195-E2—the quietest and most efficient single-aisle jet of its class. With no middle seats and generous legroom, the flying experience is intentionally designed to be relaxing and enjoyable.

For those wishing to explore beyond a single island, Binter’s inter-island connectivity is a major plus. The airline operates more than 220 daily flights within the Canary Islands, and travelers on these new routes can connect to any island at no extra cost. That means someone flying into Tenerife or Gran Canaria can continue to La Palma, Lanzarote, El Hierro, or Fuerteventura—without buying a separate ticket.

To make the journey even more dynamic, Binter offers two unique products: Discover Stopover and AirPass Explorer. The Discover Stopover allows travelers to visit two islands in one trip with only a minimal additional cost, while the AirPass Explorer lets international or domestic round-trip passengers hop between multiple islands, experiencing the full variety of the archipelago.

Tickets for these new destinations are now available through all Binter sales channels, including their website (binter.com), app, travel agencies, airport offices, and phone reservations. The airline continues to promote its “Canarian way to fly”—premium service without the low-cost compromise—and these new routes are a strong example of that philosophy in action.

This summer marks Binter’s most ambitious program yet, with more than 1.37 million seats available on direct flights between mainland Spain and the Canary Islands—a 30% increase over last year. With demand rising for easy, high-quality travel options across Spain, Binter’s expansion offers a timely solution for travelers looking to fly smart, skip the layovers, and explore more.
