Delta’s Global Expansion: New Routes to Naples, Zurich, and More

Delta Air Lines is broadening its horizons with the introduction of new services to Naples and the enhancement of existing routes to Ireland, Zurich, and several other destinations.

This expansion comes on the heels of a record-setting summer across the Atlantic, signaling Delta’s commitment to providing more travel opportunities to its customers.

A Gateway to Europe and Beyond

Delta is not just an airline; it’s a bridge to diverse cultures, landscapes, and experiences. “There’s never been a better time to explore Europe on Delta,” stated Joe Esposito, Senior Vice President – Network Planning. Delta is opening the doors to exploration, allowing customers to immerse themselves in the rich history of Naples, Italy, experience the lush, green landscapes of Shannon, Ireland, and witness the picturesque scenery of Zurich, Switzerland. The airline is keen on offering inspiring options for summer adventures abroad, coupled with the premium services and amenities that Delta’s customers have come to expect and enjoy.

Expanding the Network from New York

Delta holds the distinction of being the largest carrier to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East from its JFK hub. It plans to operate nearly 260 weekly flights next summer to 18 countries and 29 destinations throughout these regions. For the first time, Delta is launching a nonstop service from JFK to the ancient city of Naples, Italy, beginning May 23, 2024. This service acts as a gateway to renowned sites like the Amalfi coast and Mount Vesuvius and complements Delta’s existing services to Milan, Venice, and Rome.

Delta is also reviving its service to Shannon, Ireland, from JFK, which was last operated in 2019. This nonstop service is an addition to Delta’s existing flights to Dublin, including the newly announced service from Minneapolis-Saint Paul. Furthermore, Delta is introducing a new nonstop flight to Munich from JFK, operating three times a week beginning April 9, 2024.

Connecting the World from Various Hubs

From Atlanta, Delta is offering a nonstop flight to Zurich four times weekly beginning May 31, 2024, and increasing its weekly flights to Paris and Venice. On the U.S. west coast, Delta’s nonstop, daily flight from LAX to Auckland, New Zealand, beginning Oct. 28, 2023, will extend to year-round service. Delta is also increasing service from LAX to Sydney, Australia, to twice-daily beginning this December.

Delta Air Lines is not just expanding its services; it’s creating bridges to new experiences, cultures, and landscapes. Whether it’s the historical richness of Naples, the serene landscapes of Ireland, or the vibrant life of Zurich, Delta is ensuring that its customers have a plethora of options to explore the world, all while enjoying the premium services that define the Delta experience.
