Delta Air Lines, in partnership with KLM/Air France, launched a new non-stop service connecting Central Florida and Amsterdam, Netherlands. Starting from March 30, 2018, Delta started flying between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport (AMS).
Delta will offer daily service on Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with Delta One, Delta Comfort+ and Economy seating. This will be the first connection to Amsterdam from MCO since Martinair ended service in 2011. Prior to the seven year hiatus, MCO had non-stop service to Amsterdam for 22 years.
Amsterdam is a key route addition for Orlando. AMS is not only MCO’s fourth largest unserved international market, it also provides access to Schipol’s extensive airport route network, the fourth largest in the world with non-stop service to 254 destinations. The new service is expected to generate $67 million in economic impact for 296 operations per year to Central Florida.
