easyJet offers Luggage Services

easyJet & Airportr Offer Hassle-Free Luggage Services

Europe’s leading airline, easyJet, has teamed up with baggage collection and delivery expert, Airportr, to launch a groundbreaking luggage collection, delivery, and door-to-door service.

This innovative offering is initially available for passengers flying from London Gatwick and Geneva, simplifying the travel process by allowing customers to check in their bags from the comfort of their home, office, or hotel.

The collaboration between easyJet and Airportr is a response to customer demand, with research indicating that 40% of the airline’s clientele are keen on such services. Aimed at streamlining the travel experience, easyJet has introduced three bespoke services:

  1. Departure Service: Passengers departing from London Gatwick or Geneva can have their luggage collected from a designated point and delivered to the baggage belt at their destination airport.
  2. Arrival Service: Those arriving in Geneva via any easyJet flight can opt to have their baggage delivered straight to their final stop, be it a home or hotel.
  3. Door-to-Door Service: A completely seamless service for customers flying between London Gatwick and Geneva, where bags checked in from home are delivered to the customer’s final destination.

In an industry first, easyJet has also integrated this service into a bundle fare. Passengers who opt for the FLEXI fare from London Gatwick and Geneva will have the Airportr service included in their booking, elevating the travel experience without additional charges.

The service starts at a competitive price of £37, available directly from Airportr’s website. To celebrate the launch, the first 300 customers will enjoy a 30% discount by applying the promotional code 30OFFAIRPORTRLAUNCH at checkout.

Sophie Dekkers, Chief Commercial Officer at easyJet, emphasized the airline’s commitment to innovation in line with customer preferences, expressing excitement over making travel more accessible. Meanwhile, Randel Darby, CEO of Airportr, highlighted the growing trend for speed and convenience in travel, underscoring easyJet’s dedication to a streamlined airport experience.

With over 250,000 bags and sports equipment processed since 2016, Airportr’s service has earned high ratings from customers, with 8,100 providing a 4 or 5-star rating and a 9.6/10 likelihood of recommending the service.

This service complements easyJet’s recent initiatives such as Twilight Bag Drop, which allows for bag drop-offs the night before, currently available at multiple airports including London Gatwick, Bristol, and Manchester.

In the competitive landscape of European air travel, easyJet’s partnership with Airportr positions the airline as a pioneer in customer-centric innovation. By redefining luggage handling, easyJet not only streamlines the journey but also sets a new benchmark for convenience in aviation.
