Etihad’s A380 Heads to Singapore, Boosts Flights to Thailand

Etihad Airways is taking its luxury travel experience to new heights as it introduces its iconic A380 service between Abu Dhabi and Singapore starting February 1, 2025.

This move marks Singapore as the fourth major city to experience the double-decker aircraft, following London, New York, and Paris.

The introduction of the A380 to Singapore is a significant step in Etihad’s strategy to enhance its network across Asia, catering to both business and leisure travelers with increased comfort and capacity.

A380: A Flying Experience Like No Other

The Etihad A380 is not just another aircraft; it’s a flying hotel offering an unparalleled travel experience. Passengers can expect a range of seating options designed for maximum comfort. The economy class boasts 68 seats with extra legroom and 337 Smart seats equipped with innovative fixed-wing headrests and large pillows, ensuring a cozy journey.

Busan Green and Growing

The upper deck of the A380 is where the luxury really takes off. The Business Studios™ offer 70 private spaces with premium amenities designed by Armani/Casa, complete with Wi-Fi connectivity and access to The Lobby lounge area. For those looking for even more exclusivity, the First Apartments provide nine luxurious private spaces featuring leather chairs, designer tableware, and a large ottoman-bed. Guests in first class also have access to an exclusive shower room, elevating the in-flight experience to that of a five-star hotel.

At the pinnacle of luxury is The Residence, the world’s only three-room suite in the sky. This ultra-private space includes a living room, bedroom, and an ensuite bathroom with a shower. It offers a level of opulence that is unmatched, complete with personalized service from a dedicated Etihad cabin crew. Dining in The Residence is a gourmet affair, with an à la carte menu served on designer tableware, and options that range from breakfast in bed to the Signature High Tea experience.

Singapore: A City of Endless Discoveries

Singapore, though small in size, is packed with attractions that make it an ideal destination for a city getaway. With its tropical climate, vibrant cultural mix, and modern skyline, Singapore offers something for everyone. Visitors can explore the colorful temples and bustling markets of Little India, shop and dine in the eclectic neighborhoods of Chinatown, or indulge in the trendy boutiques along Orchard Road.

Boosting Connections to Thailand

In addition to the new A380 service to Singapore, Etihad is significantly enhancing its network to Thailand, responding to growing demand from travelers. Starting October 27, 2024, Etihad will increase its flights to Thailand, offering three daily flights to Bangkok and 20 weekly flights to Phuket. This expansion provides travelers with more options and flexibility when planning their trips to these popular destinations.

Bangkok, known for its vibrant street life and cultural landmarks, and Phuket, famous for its beautiful beaches and luxury resorts, are now more accessible than ever. The increased frequency of flights allows for more convenient travel times, ensuring that guests can make the most of their stay in Thailand.

Etihad’s new routes and increased flight frequencies are now open for booking, and travelers can take advantage of the airline’s complimentary stopover program in Abu Dhabi. This offer allows guests to enjoy a free stay for up to two nights in the vibrant capital of the UAE, adding another layer of excitement to their travel plans.
