flydubai and Boeing have signed new agreements aimed at enhancing fleet efficiency and optimizing operations.
Announced at the MRO Middle East conference, the agreements introduce advanced maintenance services and digital tools to streamline flydubai’s growing operations.
The airline will benefit from Boeing’s Tailored Parts Package, which provides better access to essential components, improving cost savings and forecasting. Additionally, Quick Engine Change (QEC) kits will reduce downtime by preparing spare engines for quicker deployment, ensuring minimal disruptions to flight schedules.
A pilot program for Boeing’s Bin Management Solutions is also part of the deal. This initiative uses Just-In-Time and Vendor-Managed Inventory services to improve parts availability and reduce stock shortages.
flydubai’s digital capabilities will advance further with the Jeppesen FliteDeck Advisor, a real-time flight optimization app designed to reduce fuel consumption and optimize flight paths.
Captain Ahmad Bin Huzaim, Senior Vice President, Flight Operations at flydubai, said: “We are pleased to sign the FliteDeck Advisor solution agreement from Boeing Global Services. This is part of our commitment to adopting digital best practices to enhance our operational efficiency and optimise performance.”
Andrew Glover, Senior Vice President, Engineering and Maintenance at flydubai, added: “We are looking forward to continuing to work closely with the Boeing Global Services teams and invest in technologies that improve our operational efficiencies as we grow our fleet. These services will also improve cost-efficiency and provide real-time solutions.”
“Boeing’s unmatched scale, expertise and broad service offerings are what set us apart and enable us to support what our customers need to keep flying safely and efficiently,” said William Ampofo, senior vice president, Parts & Distribution and Supply Chain, Boeing Global Services.
These strategic updates reflect flydubai’s ongoing efforts to improve operations and passenger experience, while reinforcing its collaboration with Boeing as the airline expands its fleet.
From its home in Dubai, flydubai has created a network of more than 125 destinations served by a fleet of 88 aircraft. Since commencing operations in June 2009, flydubai has been committed to removing barriers to travel, creating free flows of trade and tourism and enhancing connectivity between different cultures across its ever-expanding network.
